' This is Atlas Springs country on Texas Downs. The brown hill is Kilfoyle cattle camp. Churchill says they would muster up that way across the plains. "It was hard work - they was wild cattle."

The painting also shows Cockatoo Hill - "the bottom part where the plain is". The white dots through the centre show where Churchill used to muster cattle "down along the boundaries".

The green plain at the bottom goes down to the Ord River "where we stopped to have dinner when we were mustering. Some old people would carry a line and go fishing".
