Shannon has depicted his father’s country, which is located south of Balgo near Nynmi rockhole. The painting tells the story of a travelling snake named Purtujalpu who travelled to a rockhole named Wirrul situated between Jupiter Well and Nynmi. The country here is dominated by Tali (sandhills).
