This painting relates to the salt lake claypan of Wilkinkarra (Lake Mackay), north west of the Kintore Community.
After travelling through the Kintore area a group of ancestral women camped at this site to hold ceremonies relating to the area. As they travelled the women gathered a variety of bush foods including pura (bush tomato) and kampurarrpa (desert raisin). The oval shapes in this painting represent the soakage waters visited by the women as they travelled.
