This painting depicts designs associated with the rockhole site of Walukirittji, south-west of the Kintore community. This is the artist's father's country.
Walukirittji is associated with the Lungkata (Blue-tongue Lizard) Dreaming. In ancestral times a Lungkata camped at this site before travelling north to find food and water. The lines in the painting depict the sandhills in the country through which he travelled, while the roundels depict the sites where he camped.
