This painting repesents the travel of two wanampi (water snakes) from Karrinyarra (Mt Wedge), west of Papunya, to the lake site of Pinpirrnga (Desert Bore).
The wanampi were searching for suitable mates. On their travels the snakes created the large tali (sandhills) and puli (rocky outcrops) throughout this area, which are depicted in the painting by lines and circles.
