In this painting Justin is depicting his ancestral totems of snake, emu, goanna and red kangaroo. The background depicts the travelling paths of the ancestors as well as the flora of the Central Desert region.

Justin spent his youth in the north of the Northern Terrirtory and the Central Desert region where he would sit and listen to his elders sing and practice traditional skills. From an early age Justin has been inspired by the spiritual sounds of the didjeridoo. The sounds and visions of the Australian landscape are expressed through his unique style of painting. The colours and designs he uses represent earth images, landscape and traditional stories that have been handed down from his elders.
