In this painting Willy tells the story of the Funnel Web spider which created tunnels, roads through which the ancestral wallabies travelled underground from a place called Yarrungkanyi, northwest of Yuendumu, towards the west. The wallabies emerged at Tjunyinpa, west of Kintore, and from there spread across the surrounding country.
The circles represent the spiders' holes.
